Ford's History
Ford logo
Ford was founded on June 16th 1903 by Henry Ford. They currently employee over 80,000 people in the United States and over 200,000 globally. They are headquartered in Detroit Michigan (well, technically Dearborn which is a suburb of Detroit).

The company is still run by the Ford family and has revenue of over 110 billion dollars anually.

They are the second largest automaker in the United States (behind GM) and Fourth globally. They are also the 7th highest ranked company on the Fortune 500 list.

The Model T produced by Ford was one of the most successful cars ever made. Ford wanted to create a car that was affordable for his own employees and achieved this by mass production and moving assembly lines which allowed the cars to be produced for a fraction of the price.
